The 6th Annual Fairmount Community Development Corporation Fundraiser is happening this Monday, November 24th from 6-9pm at Girard College, Founders Hall. Bruce Springsteen to Perform at Obama Rally Oct. 4th
The Obama campaign has just announced that Bruce Springsteen will play a free - acoustic - set on the Ben Franklin Parkway Saturday afternoon. For "preferred" tickets you have to go to an Obama campaign office and sign up to volunteer. General admission is available via the web. Gates open at 2:00 and the program will begin at 3:30. Freedom Walk in Valley Forge
Come join Operation Homefront's Freedom Walk Saturday, September 13th to honor our service members, past and present and renew our commitment to freedom and the values of our country. Third Annual Water Works Celebration
The Fairmount Park Conservancy's Women for the Water Works Committee is hosting a cocktail reception celebrating the restoration of the South Garden and Cliffside Paths. The reception is scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 6–9pm at the Fairmount Water Works and South Garden, 640 Water Works Drive, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.

Designing Our World, Divining the Next

This walking tour of Laurel Hill Cemetery, will take place on Sunday, June 29th at 2:00pm. The tour will be guided by Jim Mundy, Director of Library and Historical Collections at The Union League of Philadelphia, and President of the Board of the Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery.
