Delaware Valley Green Business Council Members at the Go Green Expo

Go Green Expo calls it the nation’s premier eco-friendly tradeshow, is coming to the PA Convention Center this Fri. March 13th – Sun. March 15th!. Sponsored in part by NBC, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com, Go Green Expo will showcase the latest and greatest in all things green from fuel efficient cars and natural personal care products to greener gadgets that help us live more sustainably. In addition to over 200 different exhibits, Go Green Expo will also host a variety of panels and keynote presentations.   Mayor Nutter will be doing a ribbon cutting on Fri. 10am to kick off the show and Phila. Office of Sustainability head Mark Alan Hughes is giving a keynote on Fri. at 1pm.

Please note these presentations at Go Green  (all will run up to 90 min.) – presentation room is the back left corner of the show floor, near the booths numbering 200s.:

Sunday, March 15 at 3pm, Green Homes 101 presentation by DVGBC Residential circle members. Sherry Riesner of Eos Energy is participating in this presentation with Laura Blau of Blupath Design, and Travis Douglas of Re:Vision Architecture  (If you are involved with the DVGBC Residential committee that Sherry chairs, or interested to get involved, please attend so you can give feedback to help us continue to refine the content, and roll out this presentation to community groups across the Del. Valley.  There is a DVGBC booth at Go Green you can visit and meet staff or other DVGBC members.)

Sun. March 15, 1pm on “Alternative Energy – Powering the Future and the Future is Now”.  Eos Energy managing Partner Andrew Kleeman is moderating, and joined by professionals from geothermal, solar hot water, and energy efficiency, among others.  (Panelists included DVGBC Res. circle member Sean Crane of Hometown Green – on “efficiency first” and Alan Rushforth of Rushforth Solar on solar hot water)

Fri. March 13, 11am on “Building Green Doesn’t Have to Cost More”. Andrew Kleeman from Eos Energy joins Johnny McDonald of Onion Flats, Bill DeFalco of e3 Bank, and Christopher Stromberg of Southern Liberties, LLC.   (Christopher and Johnny are also from our DVGBC Res. Circle – go team!)

Pre-reg. online closes today at 5pm – for B2B day or the weekend
On site on Fri. you can register for free on Fri. if you bring a business card.

FOR SAT/SUN: it’s open to everyone
If you pre-register by 5pm Wed. 3/11 with the “PAGREEN” code they you get free pass for the whole weekend (Sat/Sun)

For anyone who doesn’t preregister, it is $10 at the door for the whole weekend, but free for the following:
Children under the age of 12, Senior citizens (65+), Students with bring Valid Student ID.
