Route 6route6restaurant.com • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Route 6’s interior draws its inspiration from small towns along the New England coast. Here Provenance was able to provide reclaimed cypress and hemlock, which was custom-milled into flooring. While we didn’t do the installation, we were able to offer advice on how to achieve their final look. When we delivered the flooring, we also provided them with the fill and finish to complete the job, along with a few decorative items. Pictures to come soon.

Interstate Food & Liquorinterstatenyc.com • Lower East Side, New York City

To create the raw industrial feel of Interstate Food & Liquor, owner Andy Boose and designer Eric Bernstien made a trip to Provenance Architecturals to source materials. Provenance was able to deliver several varieties of salvaged industrial glass, windows, and locally handcrafted lighting to the site, where they took care of the installation.

The Dandelion Pubthedandelionpub.com • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Dandelion Pub is a great example of how salvaged and reclaimed materials can help add an inconspicuous air of authenticity to a historically-themed restaurant interior. Here, the aim was to create an environment where patrons felt as though they stepped through time to Old World Britain. For this reason, much of the interior decoration was sourced from overseas; however, Provenance was able to provide some unimposing local Philadelphia flavor for the finishing touches.

Percy St. BBQpercystreet.com • Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Percy St. BBQ offers a mouth-watering selection of traditional Southern comfort foods, Philadelphia style. This project is a great example of how architectural salvage and reclaimed materials can provide character and a sense of history to an interior. The results are comforting and familiar, yet contemporary.

Oyster Houseoysterhousephilly.com • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The renovation of the Oyster House was designed around a central raw bar, where this restaurant offers Philadelphia’s most comprehensive selection of oysters on the half shell. Provenance was able to provide 3-inch thick marble salvaged from the site of Independence Mall and several species of reclaimed wood, which we also processed and installed.

Barbuzzobarbuzzo.com • Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Recently named one of the “ten best new urban restaurants in America” by Frommer’s (2011) Barbuzzo features artisan specialties, like their in-house cured meats and locally-sourced ingredients on the Mediterranean-inspired menu. When it came to the restaurants interior, Provenance Architecturals collaborated with Chef Marcie Turney, partner Valerie Safran, and Urban Space Development to design and source appropriate materials. We also offered custom fabrication, finishing, and installation. The result is a refined rusticity that showcases the value inherent in locally reclaimed materials and creative repurposing.
