Provenance Architecturals is honored to be able to provide reclaimed ipe flooring to the Barnes Foundation’s highly anticipated Philadelphia campus. The ipe, known for its superior durability and rich color profile, was reclaimed from a boardwalk on Long Island, New York. Learn how we resurrected this unique material. Also, click here to read about how we reclaimed stone from the demolition of the Youth Detention Center ( previously on the site of the new Barnes building) and used several tons of it in a private residential project only a few miles away.
Grant Fountain • Materials Conservation Collaborative • Fairmount Park Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Grant Fountain is a project that we worked on with Materials Conservation Collaborative (formerly Milner+Carr Conservation LLC). Their aim was to recreate a piece of demolished Philadelphia history; the Grant Fountain Memorial, located off of Kelly Drive in Fairmount Park. Their material of choice was locally salvaged marble from Provenance Architecturals.
