Parc Rittenhouse Redux • Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The crew at Provenance is hard at work finishing up the installation of another custom wood floor. In this case, we milled storm-salvaged ash to specification and Chris Donna worked with the client to create a custom finish. Check back soon to see the finished project and how a small piece of Philadelphia’s architectural history gets a facelift and finds an honored position in this home.
18th Century Farmhouse Renovation • Bedminster, New Jersey
Provenance Architecturals was called when the renovation of this 18th century farmhouse required some wood flooring to match the original wide-plank white oak. The project, still under construction, also incorporates reclaimed chestnut and marble. Additionally, the property recently lost a massive black walnut tree in a storm. We decided to salvage it, then kiln-dry and process it in preparation for an island countertop, built-ins, and paneling throughout the home. More pictures to come.
Industrial-Chic Loft • TriBeCa, New York City, New York
With construction still underway, reclaimed materials and salvaged items from Provenance Architecturals help designer Liz Tiesi, of Threshold Interiors, to create this “industrial chic” residential loft located in the TriBeCa section of New York City. We have one last delivery of materials to this site, so check back soon for final shots once the project is completed.
Stone Façade and Hardscaping • Haverford, Pennsylvania
This private residence is a great example of how reclaimed building materials can be used in new construction. To create a more cohesive appearance to the surrounding historic properties, the builder chose to use salvaged stone and brick, which have their own aged patina. Here Provenance Architecturals provided reclaimed Wissahickon schist, cobblestones, and brick pavers from various demolition sites throughout Philadelphia.
French-Inspired Au Pair Suite • Wayne, Pennsylvania
This private residence included separate in-law quarters which these clients wanted to turn into a French-inspired au pair suite. Working with the homeowner’s interior designer, Provenance Architecturals was able to provide reclaimed materials, decorative accents, and custom built pieces to make this project really come together.
